Hot on the heels of our last announcement, we are super excited to bring you one more guest speaker announcement before Christmas!
Have you ever wondered how some of the bigger leagues do their marketing so well? How they seem to be so active on their websites and social media accounts? Have you exhausted everything you can think of, and still aren’t selling out your game venues, or increasing membership as quickly as you would like? And, wondered how to do all this on a zero budget?
Well, wonder no more, as we have the amazing Princess Die coming to give a session titled Media Madness – DIY tips for the best freebie Marketing!
Princess Die is a force to be reckoned with – the secret weapon of Auld Reekie Roller Girls; a travel team skater, Head of the Communications Committee and an active Director, P. Die also coaches ARRGs new skaters in her spare time. Responsible for Auld Reekie having the second highest online following of any league in the whole of the UK (second only to LRG), P. Die is also the master of Puns – a walking ARRGvertisement for the league.
So, we asked P.Die, what should we expect? She gave us a bit of a rundown on what will happen during this session on Saturday:
All of the tips on DIY marketing! How do we enhance social media marketing through algorithms, weighting, and scheduling utilities? We’ll be looking at branding, identity development, SEO, social media weighting, and increasing engagement. We’ll talk about how to use hashtags (including how to get your hashtag trending) and follow up promotion using sites like Storify. We’ll also be looking at photography, programmes, and branding guidelines. There will be loads of interaction, and the session will be filled with tips and tricks to help you make your online presence massive and get your team in the spotlight!
Sounds like a pretty invaluable session, especially for smaller leagues who really have the constraints of a zero budget for marketing. We can’t wait for this!
Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting announcements coming soon – and remember, tickets are still available – get yours here.
