Welcome to UKROC – the UK’s first open roller derby conference!

UKROC will bring together skaters and officials from around the country in a bid to continue the UKRDA’s ongoing work to promote, develop and grow the sport of roller derby in the UK.

To accomplish that, the organisers have assembled an incredible group of speakers to share their expertise and experiences on how to improve individual league development and providing useful resources.

UKROC will take place on Saturday and Sunday October 11 and 12, 2014, at the University of Warwick and will be open to representatives from all UK leagues, as well as UK-based independent officials.

The program for the UKROC will be a full two day experience of sessions, including (but not limited to):

  • Face to face sessions with WFTDA, MRDA and UKRDA
  • Team cohesion and mental coaching
  • PR and Marketing
  • Technical skills for coaching
  • Officials Training
  • League Organisation
  • …and much, much more!

Scarlet Younger, AKA Mistress Malicious of Glasgow Roller Derby and chairperson of the UKRDA, which has been leading the organisation of UKROC, said: “We will be announcing our speaker roster in the next few weeks, but we can tell you just now that we’re working on making this a conference to remember!
